Get Baptized
What is Baptism?
The ordinance of Baptism is the immersion in water of a person who has put their faith in Jesus for the salvation of their soul from sin, self, and Satan. Simply put, Baptism is the outside symbol of an inward transformation. Baptism is a symbol of grace of Jesus and points to the new life we have in Him.
Why get Baptized?
Jesus says this in Matthew 28:18-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Baptism is the first step of obedience after becoming a new believer in Jesus. To use an analogy, when we become a Christian we have entered into a covenant with God like marriage. That is why the scripture says in
Romans 10:9-10
"9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."
The confession is the " I do" part of the ceremony.
Baptism is like wearing the wedding ring afterwards. It does not make me married, but it does let the world know that I am.
Baptism doesn't save me, it just lets the world know that I am saved.

Join New Day
What does it mean to join a church?
Joining a church means committing to a group of believers to faithfully worship God in these ways:
1. Prayer - Pray for the community, the church, the leadership, and for one another. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
2. Generosity - Support the work of the church financially by giving faithfully. (2 Cor 9:6-7)
3. Gathering - Join us for Discipleship, Fellowship, and Worship. (Hebrews 10:25)
4. Service - Use your gifts, talents, and time to serve both in the church and in the community. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
5. Inviting - Invite people to gatherings and worship services to fulfill our mission to make disciples. (Romans 10:14)
6. Baptism - Baptism is our first step of obedience as new follower of Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20)
We are all necessary parts of the whole
1 Corinthians 12:12-13
12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves[d] or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
